Merry Christmas

Has it ever been a long time since I've posted anything...

I hate to give the excuse that I've been busy (which I have) but also just relatively uninterested in posting. *sigh*

Anyway, tomorrow I'm off to my Dad's place in Vernon to visit for boxing day. John is meeting me there tomorrow on his way back from a 10 day stint in the Rockies and I'm super excited to hang out and hit the mountain.

When I'm back it will be back to planning for the up coming short practicum that I have in Richmond this coming January. I'm looking at teaching grade seven poetry by using music lyrics and song (credit to John for the idea!). It should be good, but the idea of putting what I'm going to do on paper is a committment that I'm not really into. Stresses me out a little. Lesson plans aren't really my 'thing', but for the rest of this year I'll have to get over that. I'm definitely more of a 'fly by the seat of my pants' kinda person, and it works really well for me. Student teachers are put through the ringer to make sure that we know what we're doing. Jumping through hoops is all...

Anyway, I hope that everyone had a great Christmas. I had a good phase one, and phase two with the second half of the fam should be an event!
